NRL 2026 - Round 6 Preview

Updated: Apr 9

Here are the stats and predictions for the upcoming round of the NRL.

These are the notes I use for 2GB radio and other media gigs for NRL updates.

PANTHERS V BULLDOGS — THURSDAY 8PM @ ACCOR

Panthers have won 9 of the last 10 against the Dogs and 6 of those were by 13 plus. They knocked Canterbury out of the 2025 finals and have carried that dominance into this season, unbeaten in 2026 with every win 13 plus. They lead 10 to 7 at Accor and the last two meetings here have been blowouts either way. Jacob Preston has found the line once in his last three against Penrith.

TIP: MARKET GIVING NO EDGE ON PANTHERS, TRY JACOB PRESTON ANYTIME TRY SCORER $3.80

DRAGONS V SEA EAGLES — FRIDAY @ WIN STADIUM

Manly lead the last five meetings 3 to 2 but this flips at Win Stadium where the Dragons dominate 10 to 2. They won the last clash here 20 to 12 and have taken 4 of their last 5 at the venue. This matchup trends low scoring with 9 of the last 12 under 48 total points. Jacob Liddle has scored in his last three against Manly.

TIP: ST GEORGE TO MAINTAIN THEIR TERRIFIC RECORD HERE AND UNDER 49.5 POINTS $5.16

BRONCOS V COWBOYS — FRIDAY @ SUNCORP

Brisbane have won the last 8 against North Queensland and half of those were by 13 plus. They lead 15 to 7 at Suncorp and this fixture has turned into a shootout with the last five all clearing 50 total points.

TIP: POINT SCORING FEST WITH BRONCOS WINNING AND OVER 48.5 POINTS @$2.95

RAIDERS V RABBITOHS — SATURDAY @ OPTUS

Canberra have won the last 4 meetings and 3 of those were by 20 plus. Souths have a strange trend in this matchup, scoring exactly 12 points in 5 of their last 9 against the Raiders. Seven of the last nine meetings have gone under 48 total points.

TIP: CANBERRA TO WIN A THRILLER AND UNDER 48.5 POINTS @$4.57

SHARKS V ROOSTERS — SATURDAY @ OPTUS

Cronulla have won 12 of their last 16 NRL matches and lead the last five meetings between these two clubs 3 to 2. But away from Shark Park the Roosters have won 4 of their last 5 against them. In those wins, three produced 44 plus total points.

TIP: CHOOKS AND POINTS - GO ROOSTERS AND OVER 44.5 POINTS @$2.60

STORM V WARRIORS — SATURDAY @ AAMI

Melbourne have won 17 straight against the Warriors and lead 12 to 3 at AAMI Park. Nine of the last 12 meetings has resulted in a 13 plus margin either way suggesting blowouts can happen but here's the kicker - four of the last eight at this venue have been tighter with margins between 1 and 12.

TIP: VALUE PLAY IS STORM 1 TO 12 @$3.20

EELS V TITANS — SUNDAY @ COMMBANK

Parramatta have won their last 6 home games against the Titans and lead 3 to 0 at Commbank. They hold a slight edge overall 15 to 13. Gold Coast’s recent scoring sits between 16 and 28 points, with four of their last seven falling in the 21 to 30 range.

TIP: TITANS TOTAL SCORE TO AGAIN BE BETWEEN 21 TO 30 @$2.65

TIGERS V KNIGHTS — SUNDAY @ CAMPBELLTOWN

The Tigers hold a narrow 6 to 5 edge at Campbelltown but Newcastle have won the last 8 meetings, including two at this ground. Six of the last eight have gone under 34 total points and four of those games were decided by 12 or less.

TIP: TIGHT AGAIN WITH EITHER TEAM TO WIN BY LESS THAN 10.5 & UNDER 49.5 TOTAL POINTS @$3.49
