Here is your TBF Tip Sheet + analysis of the Quaddie for Spring Champion Stakes day at Randwick.

BEST (1) RIVELLINO brings genuine class from the Caulfield Guineas where he was cluttered up turning for home yet stuck on well. Draws the rail again but Rawiller’s timing can make all the difference. Proven miler who just needs clear air to win.

DANGERS (2) OHOPE continues to raise the bar each start and draws ideally to get a soft trail again.

LONGSHOTS (11) POLISH PLAYGIRL rolls forward and adds spice to the tempo — could cling on for a placing at odds if the track favours speed.

VERDICT (1) RIVELLINO to bounce back from the Guineas and deliver at Randwick.

BEST (2) SHANGRI LA BOY controlled the race from the front last start and never looked like being run down. Draws ideally again and Nash should get the same soft lead. Peaking at the right time and clearly the one to beat.

DANGERS (7) CHAMPAGNE HERO paid the price for not pushing up from the inside draw behind his stablemate last start but still ran on well late. Maps for a better spot here and looms as the main threat if the tempo’s genuine. (11) WITHIN THE LAW has had zero luck with barriers and again cops a wide gate. Tough filly who keeps trying and deserves her shot, but the set-up looks awkward on the seven-day back-up.

LONGSHOTS (14) SHEEZA DIVA was the best closer in the Gloaming, attacking the line strongly from last. Up in class but on the rise — a knockout hope if they overdo it up front. (10) CRUSADER VOYAGE beaten last 2 as odds on favourite but gets blinkers on first time and finally out to 2000, potential big improver.

VERDICT (2) SHANGRI LA BOY to control proceedings again and go all the way.

BEST (3) MISS ROUMBINI has been set for this. Skipped the Alan Brown to be saved for today and has won third-up her past two preps. Draws to stalk the speed and should be launching late.

DANGERS (2) MANAAL maps for the perfect run behind the leaders and brings strong Randwick form. Genuine mare who rarely runs a bad one. (1) STEFI MAGNETICA looks ready to hit top gear after a solid run first-up. Her strong trial behind Beiwacht signalled she’s close to her best and can surge into the finish.

LONGSHOTS (6) OH DIAMOND LIL likely to roll forward and give a sight. Handles Randwick and can cause an upset if the tempo is controlled. (9) GERRINGONG is another with gate speed at double figures and gets Rawiller on — can post big numbers and looks a value hope from the Waterhouse/Bott yard.

VERDICT (3) MISS ROUMBINI to peak third-up and land her biggest payday yet.

BEST (5) GENERAL SALUTE has been knocking on the door, didn’t have much luck in the straight last start and gets his chance to break through stretching to 1500 m. Tim Clark yet to miss a place in three rides on him. Recent form around him reads well and he’s ready to launch late with clear air.

DANGERS (1) TRANSATLANTIC was brave winning the Toorak and brings elite Melbourne form to Sydney. Genuine on-pacer who makes his own luck and will take catching. (8) RISE AT DAWN had no excuses last start but continues to race consistently. Maps for another handy run and stays in the mix.

LONGSHOTS (7) THE INFLICTOR drawn to do no work from barrier one and could sneak into the finish if the breaks go his way. (10) SALTCOATS hasn’t had much go right this prep but has the talent to surprise if tempo suits.

VERDICT (5) GENERAL SALUTE to finish over the top and stamp his ticket to the $2M final.
