11 1X2 JENNI MULTABELLA B Mertens (2) $3.80
12 X843 MACEDON ROSE L Currie (7) $15
13 2X12 TOUCHDOWN L Currie (3) $4
BEST
(4) FIORENOT — Missed a year of racing but his Bendigo return was enormous, finishing strongly behind a smart one. Should relish getting to 1600 m. Expect big improvement second-up.
(5) BLUEPINOT — Racing in peak form and ran a bottler behind a subsequent Flemington winner last start. Handles all conditions; wide draw the only query.
DANGERS
(11) JENNI MULTABELLA — Excellent first-up effort lumping 61kg against the mares. Strips fitter, draws well, and looks the clear benchmark in class terms.
(13) TOUCHDOWN — Luckless last start when the barrier beat him. Draws to get a softer run here and has strong closing form. Genuine danger.
LONGSHOTS
(2) SCINTILLANTE — Ran well first-up in a race that’s proven strong. Up to the mile suits and can sneak into the finish if tempo lifts. Loves soft ground.
(6) LADY POTATO HEAD — Impressive last start at home and looks a different horse on soft ground. Can surprise at odds.
VERDICT
(4) FIORENOT to power over the top second-up.
Summary: 4 – 11 – 13 – 5
R6 1800m
1 6933 CORONA LAD J Stanley (6) $9
3 X418 ARISTONOUS R Houston (7) $26
4 X733 MACY MOON J Childs (10) $9
6 00X1 WINSTON J Mott (1) $6
7 0210 BIDEN TIME J Noonan (3) $15
8 0X61 OCEANS ABOVE J Maskiell (9) $18
9 9520 FAREWELL TO EIRE L Nolen (8) $5.50
10 6751 STREET LARK C Hefel (11) $5.50
11 521 TIVACI CODE C Williams (5) $5.50
12 80X4 WOLFESS B Mertens (2) $9.50
13 6512 NILE CROCODILE N/A (4) $51
BEST
(4) MACY MOON — Jordan Childs reunites and that’s key. His last two rides on the gelding produced a win and a strong third at this track when ridden on-speed. Expect him to roll forward again and be hard to run down, especially if conditions stay around soft 5.
(6) WINSTON — Impressive first-up win when stalking the leaders before putting them away. Strips fitter now and draws ideally to repeat the dose with Jamie Mott in the saddle.
DANGERS
(1) CORONA LAD — Proven track performer who’s going just as well as when he last scored here with Jett Stanley aboard. Maps for a soft run behind the speed and could easily feature late.
(11) TIVACI CODE — Took control and broke through at Warrnambool last start. Faces tougher opposition but continues to improve and must be respected with Williams sticking.
LONGSHOTS
(9) FAREWELL TO EIRE — Had excuses last start and looks better suited out to this trip. Based on her New Zealand form she’s capable of surprising.
(12) WOLFESS — Solid return over shorter and much more effective up to 1800m. Lightly weighted and could fill a placing at odds.
VERDICT
(4) MACY MOON to control the race from near the lead and prove tough to get past.
Summary: 4 – 6 – 1 – 11
R7 1200m
1 6009 VELOCE CARRO L Bates (3) $41
2 7X46 PRIMAL SPIRIT J Childs (2) $18
3 8X42 DOLLAR CHASER L Nolen (5) $14
4 5X46 OCTRAIN C Newitt (1) $34
5 190X WINSOME STAR L King (7) $11
6 12X5 PRINCE TYCOON C Williams (8) $2.50
7 629X UNTAPPED B Mertens (6) $11
8 7622 BARBARIC LAD J Mott (10) $6.50
9 8X43 EXPRESS GUARD E Brown (9) $5.50
10 100X FIGLIO D’ARGENTO B Rawiller (11) $34
11 X281 THE GRUMPY BEAR Z Spain (12) $11
12 3361 YOUARENOTALONE D Bates (4) $41
BEST
(6) PRINCE TYCOON — Worked too hard first-up in a hot three-year-old race and still boxed on strongly. Fitter now, maps perfectly just off the speed, and looks ready to break through.
(8) BARBARIC LAD — Hit his straps last start and returns to a track where he’s already impressed. Well placed at this trip and can go back-to-back.
DANGERS
(3) DOLLAR CHASER — Returned well this prep and gets his chance back at his preferred distance. Proven at this level and should be right in the finish.
(2) PRIMAL SPIRIT — Third-up and ready to peak. Childs takes the reins and he’s likely to push forward to make his own luck. Handles firm going best.
LONGSHOTS
(5) WINSOME STAR — Trialled well and has a solid first-up record. If forward enough, can surprise fresh at double figures.
(7) UNTAPPED — Resuming and has shown genuine talent in the past. Keep an eye on him late if they overdo it in front.
VERDICT
(6) PRINCE TYCOON to prove too strong second-up.
Summary: 6 – 8 – 3 – 2
R8 FILLIES & MARES BM70 (1200 m)

14 554X CANARA E Brown (11) $14
15 X2X3 TSARINE L Currie (1) $11
16 2338 HAPPY LINK C Gaudray (2) $20
BEST
(3) TERILEE — Has two strong wins separated by two luckless efforts where she should’ve finished closer. Impressive debut here under Williams, who reunites today. Ready to peak and maps perfectly.
(1) JUST LIKE GABY — Tough mare who got stuck in the coffin last start and still boxed on bravely behind a subsequent Flemington winner. In great form and will appreciate a cleaner run. Wet track the risk.
DANGERS
(7) TOURNELLE — Forgive Seymour miss when forced to lead; much better suited taking a sit. Her Sandown win with blinkers on was strong and she’s trialled up nicely.
(8) WINGS OF DESIRE — Winx’s half-sister resumes for a new stable off a sharp jumpout. Talented type who could easily strike fresh if conditions suit.
LONGSHOTS
(5) MERCURIAL LADY — Back on track at Sale on her preferred soft going. Can run well again with even luck from a wide gate.
(13) CHEWING GUM — Better ridden cold and back to 1200m suits. Could surprise late if they overdo it in front.
VERDICT
(3) TERILEE to return to her best with Williams back aboard.
Summary: 3 – 1 – 7 – 8
