"Expect Lanes 1 to 4 to prove inferior with Lanes 5+ the place where the bulk of the winner will come from. Tough for leaders with mid-runners suited."

"I've marked MONOPOLISTIC $4.50fav given he was great behind MATTIAS in the Frank Packer Plate and then clocked the 2nd fastest last 200m of the day at Gosford when winnin1g over 2100m last start. Melham jumped off AMAZAKE to ride him but I wouldn't rule AMAZAKE out. He's got a terrific foundation for this with 2 runs at the trip and his only run on Soft ground saw him charge to the line in a shorter race. DIFFERENT GRAVY was 5 weeks between runs in fast 2000m race last start while DEFENDANT was only second-up off a let-up in the Rough Habit. Back MONOPOLIZE for a decent collect and the three roughies each-way."
