Golden Eagle 2022 - TBF Ratings

Two horses standout on our TBF database for the $10mil Golden Eagle at Rosehill on Saturday with both rated shorter than their current quote.

The barrier draw was conducted on Tuesday night with race favourite Light Infantry drawing favourably in gate 8.

The northern hemisphere 3YO will be partnered by UK jockey Jamie Spencer in the feature event.

His last two runs have rated better than anything this field has produced in their career. He will be the highest rated horse to come out from Europe this year. TBF Ratings have him marked $3.25 and he'd be much shorter if he produced one of those ratings here. Currently $4.
CHAIN OF LIGHTNING	93	Peak last start in the Tristarc. Her next best is 91 and she maps to sit in behind a genuine tempo doing no work. Will need a touch of luck at the right time but is the clear second pick at $6 on our system and there's $8 out there.
I WISH I WIN	92	Rated marginally down last start in the Toorak after a booming win at Sandown. Back to 1500m is a plus but he maps to get out of his ground and will need some luck. We've marked him $9, currently $8.
HINGED	90	Probably ridden a touch too close to the hot speed in the Epsom but she was her usual brave self. We've got an international that carries inherent risk and two Victorians that've never raced at Rosehill. Hinged could be johnny on the spot if they all fail. Rated $14, currently $16.
PINSTRIPED	90	His last 200m in the Toorak was almost identical to I Wish I Win. Similar to that horse, his map has issues and some good mounting yard judges were saying there was little improvement in him at Caulfield. Rated $26 on Soft 5 or better but $16 on a 6 or worse and currently $51.
