GRAFTON 18 OCTOBER

Writer: The Beaten FavouriteThe Beaten Favourite

The Jacaranda Cup Prelude [1100m] will be the feature event at Grafton on Tuesday and The Beaten Favourite's database has found two in the race.

TRACK: Good 4

WEATHER: Some rain forecast but its not expected to see a downgrade for the track.

TRACKWALKER: Expected to play fairly with some advantage for those that can settle on speed. No distinct lanes apparent.

EARLY SPEED: TBF data has DALTORO and HIDDEN HAIL holding the lead from MR GRUMPY while AMIRYKAL and STAR OF HARDA have natural speed.

TBF RATINGS: We are expecting AMIRYKAL to peak here fourth-up with the son of Akeed Mofeed's last two fourth-up runs rating right in the mix here. He was less than half a length off DALTORO last start at Ipswich on a Soft 6 and is far better on dry ground. We've rated him $6 and currently he is $9. HIDDEN HAIL'S ratings from last prep would see him winning this but in five starts this prep he's only reached a similar mark once but that was over today's distance of 1100m and he gets the map advantage.

TBF BET: AMIRYKAL [2] EACH-WAY & in QUINELLAS with 1,3,5,8,9.

STATS FOR THE MEETING

JOCKEY WATCH: Last 365 days at Grafton shows Jag Guthmann-Chester striking at 38 per cent and Leslie Tilley at 36 per cent

TRAINER WATCH: Kris Lees is seven from 21 over the past 365 days giving him a Grafton strike rate of 33 per cent.

Good Luck!
