"Lanes 1 to 4 as good as any and that should make it tough for backmarkers despite the wet weather. Leaders favoured and anything not in the first 4 in running is likely to be disadvantaged."

AJ'S BEST BET

R1 #6 BLUE BLOOD PRINCE 

Gets ideal distance tonight after trialling well for a horse always needing further. First up a jog around, last start warming late over a mile. Usually don’t like big horses around Canterbury first time but this race is really weak, he will sit 1-1 and get every opportunity to build into the race. Monitor price as is getting short around $2.30 now. 

R3 #5 MARETH 

Have been very keen to see this one step out, first trial just jogged to line under a hold. Loved the improvement to 2nd trial when putting a space on CRESTWOOD with ease. PERFORMANCE is the danger off good trials also beating CRESTWOOD, but the manner in which MARETH did it I think she’s one to follow and very hard to beat tonight. She will sit 1-1 and have the advantage of keeping PERFORMANCE in a pocket.
