NRL 2026 - R26 Preview

Here are the stats and predictions for the upcoming round of the NRL.

These are the notes I use for 2GB radio and other media gigs for NRL updates. Only 3 games previewed this week as I'm tour in Cairns.

BRISBANE V MELBOURNE

Melbourne dominate the overall head-to-head 43-17 and hold an imposing 19-5 record against Brisbane at Suncorp Stadium.

The Broncos have turned the tables recently, winning the last three clashes between the clubs, including a tight contest back in Round 3. Jahrome Hughes returns for the Storm, while opposition five-eighths have scored in six of Brisbane's last 10 matches - bringing Cameron Munster firmly into play.

TIP: STORM / OVER 48.5PTS / CAMERON MUNSTER ATS @$8.00

CANTERBURY V PENRITH

Canterbury lead the overall head-to-head 55-48, although Penrith hold a 3-1 advantage at CommBank Stadium and have won their last eight home games against the Bulldogs.

Interestingly, late-season meetings between these clubs have tended to stay relatively close. In regular-season clashes played from August 1 onwards since 2010, the margins have been 6, 20, 6, 8 and 24 points.

The Bulldogs have also won the second half in six of their last eight matches.

TIP: DOGS +9.5 / UNDER 40.5PTS / DOGS TO WIN 2ND HALF @$5.25

WARRIORS V NEWCASTLE

The Warriors lead the overall head-to-head 28-25 and hold a strong 15-9 advantage at Go Media Stadium.

They've also won the last three clashes against Newcastle. The Knights face another enormous task against the competition leaders - they've lost their last 22 matches against the team sitting on top of the ladder.

TIP: WARRIORS -10.5 / OVER 47.5PTS / KHAN-PEREIRA 2+ TRIES @$5.25
