10 4322 MISS CHANEL R Bayliss (12) $4.80
11 41 GRINZINGER HEART C Williams (7) $17
12 22 SALANN J Collett (1) $14
13 8358 SUMAC Z Lloyd (6) $34
BEST
SUMAC (13) Was held up badly last week and the back-up suits off that tempo. Drawn to be handy and if he gets clear air this time, he can make his presence felt at a price.
DANGERS
CAMPIONE D’ITALIA (1) Forget the debut and focus on his last three runs — they stack up strongly. Gets the right draw to land midfield with cover and looks a major player.
ZAMBALES (3) Shapes as though the mile will suit and maps to land in a forward position. Looks well placed stepping up in trip.
MISS CHANEL (10) Strong from the back in the Sires and now gets a chance to roll forward. Key is intent early — if she crosses without burning, she’s right in it.
LONGSHOTS
SOUTHEND (4) No knock. Gets a soft run and can be thereabouts again.
FIREBALL (2) Similar profile — gets a soft run and if the race becomes tactical, can play a role.
VERDICT
SUMAC (13) Held up badly last week and the back-up suits. If he gets clear air this time, he’s right in the finish at odds.
RANDWICK R8 – 1200m
TAB HALL MARK STAKES
Selections: 3-4-1-9-10-7
1 152X PRIVATE EYE N Rawiller (9) $4.80
2 X720 ENRICHED Z Lloyd (8) $34
3 115X JOKERS GRIN J McDonald (11) $3.00
4 X336 MAZU R King (1) $5.00
5 80X0 OSTRAKA T Sherry (3) $17
6 039X THE INFLICTOR C Schofield (10) $91
7 1138 KING’S SECRET A Adkins (5) $8.50
8 1X17 KERGUELEN A Hyeronimus (7) $9.00
9 1124 MAL COUPE W Costin (2) $16
10 213X BRAVE ONE D Gibbons (6) $20
11 052X BAUHINIA C Williams (4) $26
BEST
JOKERS GRIN (3) Profiles well in this grade and if he handles the race shape, he’s the one that needs to prove coming east while the Quokka was on is worth it.
DANGERS
MAZU (4) Has made this race his own in recent years and maps to jump and run from the inside. If he controls the tempo again, he’ll be hard to run down.
PRIVATE EYE (1) Dominates the head-to-head with MAZU and brings the class. If the tempo lifts, he’s the one finishing over the top.
KING’S SECRET (7) Fastest last 200m of the meeting first-up and wasn’t disgraced last time. Better draw this time and looks set to improve.
LONGSHOTS
BRAVE ONE (10) Capable on his day and can get the right run midfield. If the race opens up late, he’s not the worst at odds.
VERDICT
JOKERS GRIN (3) Shortest in the market, gets the right rider and profiles as the safest option in a race with a few tempo queries.
RANDWICK R9 – 1400m
SCHWEPPES ALL AGED STAKES
Selections: 14-8-1-6-11
1 X542 GIGA KICK R King (7) $7

4 X117 TOM KITTEN K McEvoy (9) $41

11 164X FANGIRL B Melham (8) $10
12 5X21 LAZZURA J Collett (3) $18
13 2X97 MAGIC TIME J Childs (11) $67
14 X826 BEIWACHT N Rawiller (2) $7
BEST
BEIWACHT (14) Likely leader and can control the race if left alone in front. In a race without obvious pressure, that gives him a real chance to stick on.
DANGERS
GIGA KICK (1) Class horse who continues to perform at the top level. Gets the right run and if the race is run to suit, he’ll be in the finish again.
ANGEL CAPITAL (8) Set for this race off a strong closing effort at Caulfield and a sharp trial since. Maps to get the right run and with McDonald aboard, he looks ideally placed to peak in a race that suits.
FANGIRL (11) Always a threat in races like this. If the tempo lifts, she’s one of the strongest late.
LONGSHOTS
PERICLES (6) Forget the Doncaster — nothing went right. Maps well here and if things fall his way, he can outrun his price.
VERDICT
BEIWACHT (14) returns to a dry track and 1400m for the first time since his monster Golden Rose win. If he runs that number here, he wins.
RANDWICK R10 – 1400m

16 025X GOD’S WINDOW J Collett (1) $26
17 07X0 FELIX MAJESTIC W Costin (19) $34
18 3131 CAPTAIN FURAI K McEvoy (8) $3.60
19 5X11 FORMAL DISPLAY B Nock (20) $3.80
20 1125 HYPERBOLIC J Melham (14) $14
BEST
CAPTAIN FURAI (18) Comes through strong form and maps to get a good run in a race with plenty of pressure. With race fitness on his side and the right setup, he looks the one with the least to go wrong.
DANGERS
ZAMBARDO (2) High upside horse who has shown he can mix it at the top level. Draw is a concern and 1400m is short of his best, but the class edge is there.
LORD PENMAN (6) Gets McDonald aboard and maps to land in a nice position despite the wide draw. If he gets cover, he’s right in the finish.
COOL JAKEY (9) Part of the early pressure and if able to find a spot without overworking, can give a sight.
LONGSHOTS
TAVI TIME (1) Can get the right run and if the race opens up late, he’s capable of running into the finish at odds.
GODS WINDOW (16) resumes off shorter break than last prep and trialed very well. He's 2 from 3 when fresh and like him to cause a boilover here.
VERDICT
GODS WINDOW (16) at $41 is a great 2x4 bet - he races well fresh and presents as the value play while CAPTAIN FURAI is the most likely winner given his high rating last start.
