Review Sheets | 9 May

Here is your review Saturday's racing featuring sectional times, winning lanes, tempo and horses to follow.

New graphics.

The average horse produces a time rating of 80 for all three sections we analyse. Above 80 means you've gone faster than the average horse, below 80 slower than average.

This is not class relative, it pits all horses against each other.

These are time ratings, weight not factored in.

ESR = Early Speed Rating

OR = Overall rating.

LS = Line Speed (how the horse rated over the concluding stages, guide to how much faster it could've gone). EG MONOPOLISTIC had a Line Speed Rating of 88 and when you compare that to his ESR of 77.2, its safe to say this horse can produce a faster Overall Rating than his 83.0 here.

When assesing who to back next time, make sure you factor in weight carried.

1pt should equal 1 length - I am chipping away at this (been on it for months).

A quick cheat guide to reading this (though there is more to it);

HIGH OR + HIGH LS

Potentially elite performance.

LOW OR + HIGH LS

Hidden run / upside horse.

HIGH OR + LOW LS

Horse may have been fully exposed.

LOW OR + LOW LS

Weak run.
