10 4X82 BEIWACHT A Hyeronimus (12) $17
11 1X43 ATTICA A Adkins (4) $61
12 77X0 NEPOTISM T Schiller (2) $201
BEST
AUTUMN GLOW (8) — Lands midfield without pressure and simply keeps doing everything right. Until she shows otherwise, she’s the one they all have to beat.
DANGERS (if any)
ATTICA (11) — Flying under the radar but has returned in terrific order. Maps for the softest run in the race and looms as the blowout quinella horse.
BEIWACHT (10) — Should get the right tempo up front to suit and is building nicely. Can stick on strongly.
LADY SHENANDOAH (9) — Drawn to get every favour and has the turn of foot to be in the finish.
VERDICT
AUTUMN GLOW (8) to keep the streak rolling and she is a standout but if you fancy her possibly getting beaten then ATTICA (11) is the value runner ahead of BEIWACHT (10) and LADY SHENANDOAH (9).

18 611 MEDICINAL — (15) $20
19 331 GIN TWIST — (2) $81
20 2X72 SCREEN ICON — (3) $126
BEST
CHAYAN (14) — Did it tough through the Blue Diamond and backed it up with a dominant Reisling win. That profile screams peak run here and maps to be right in the fight again.
STREISAND (12) — Has already had the wood over Chayan twice. Professional, tough and gets the right setup to be there late.
DANGERS
GUEST HOUSE (3) — Consistent type who handles pressure and maps into the right spot in what looks a genuinely run race.
SPICY MISS (13) — Has upside and the race shape suits. Can be strong late if they overcook it up front.
LONGSHOT
ZAMBALES (7) — Has produced the fastest 400m–200m split in his last two runs. Very good in the Diamond which ties in strongly here and drawn to get every chance.
VERDICT
CHAYAN (14) to peak on the big stage, with STREISAND (12) the obvious danger ahead of GUEST HOUSE (3) and SPICY MISS (13).
Summary: 14 – 3 – 12 – 13 - 7

16 20X1 BEADMAN J Melham (15) $9.50
17 21X2 INKARUNA C Williams (5) $7.50
18 10X3 HIDDEN MOTIVE — (6) $21
BEST
BRIASA (1) — Has to concede fitness and weight but his two recent trials, including a dominant hit-out here, suggest he’s ready to fire. His closing burst in this race last year was enormous and if the track stays no worse than a Soft 5, he’s the one.
MARHOONA (8) — Maps into the speed and looks to get every chance. Progressive and suited in a race where the tempo should be genuine.
DANGERS
ENRICHED (12) — Continues to race well and gets a strong rider booking. Should be right in the finish again.
GENEROSITY (3) — Waller runner with upside and arrives off a win. Can measure up with the right run despite the wide gate.
LONGSHOT
IN FLIGHT (7) — A sharp 1000m first-up was too slick for her. Back to 1100m suits perfectly and she’s aided if rain arrives.
VERDICT
BRIASA (1) to reproduce last year’s finish and go one better, ahead of MARHOONA (8) with ENRICHED (12) and GENEROSITY (3) in the mix.
Summary: 1 – 8 – 12 – 3 - 7

17 X166 EAGLE EXPRESS C Williams (14) $13
18 460X TERRESTAR T Schiller (11) $151
BEST
INKARUNA (10) — Needs a touch of luck but maps perfectly to stalk what looks a moderate tempo. Didn’t get clear air until too late last start and with even luck, she’s the one.
DANGERS
CATCH THE GLORY (3) — Would be a major player if the rain arrives but is far from hopeless on dry. Drawn to get the right run.
ASGARDA (12) — Can roll forward without pressure and control the race shape. Dangerous if left alone.
LONGSHOTS
ARRIVING HOME (16) — Likely to be part of that forward cluster and could give a sight at odds if the race turns tactical.
DOLLAR MAGIC (15) — Another who maps to the speed and can stick on if they steady mid-race.
VERDICT
INKARUNA (10) gets her chance to break through, ahead of CATCH THE GLORY (3) with ASGARDA (12) and the on-speed runners giving a sight.
