Here is the predicted track pattern and Best Bet for Casterton this Sunday.
PREDICTED GOING Soft
PREDICTED PATTERN Rail OK Early, expected to chop out as meeting progresses Off Rail late in the day The Casterton Cup is the 2nd last race on the card, info is suggesting 4+ horses off the rail at this point will provide best ground
NIC ASHMAN TIP R8 #10 TIKEMYSON $11 "Interesting runner having second start in Australia. Heavily backed ($5.50 - $3.90) at the Bool for Aus debut off the back of some good figures overseas but was never into the hunt over 1700m. Stewards quizzed jockey Dean Yendall about the poor performance, he said the horse would appreciate further. Gets an extra 300m here and Harry Grace takes over, which might be the key because he rode this ex-Kiwi twice in NZ when he had a stint over there and won both rides. Happy to give him another chance at double figures"
