NRL 2026 - Elimination Finals
Here are the stats and predictions for the upcoming round of the NRL.

These are the notes I use for 2GB radio and other media gigs for NRL updates.
KNIGHTS v RABBITOHS
Newcastle lead the overall H2H 31-20 and have an imposing 7-2 record against Souths at Allianz Stadium.
There's not much finals history between these two. Their only previous postseason meeting came in 2020, when the Rabbitohs won 46-20 and ALEX JOHNSTON crossed for a double.
More recently, it's been Newcastle with the upper hand. The Knights have won four of the past five H2Hs, while three of the past four meetings have produced 50+ points.
NIC'S TIP: KNIGHTS +7.5
SGM: KNIGHTS +7.5 / OVER 46.5 @ $4
WARRIORS v DOLPHINS
Absolutely nothing between them.
The overall H2H is locked at 4-4, while the Warriors lead 2-1 at Go Media Stadium.
They've already met twice this season and just two points separated the sides on both occasions, with one win apiece.
Then there's HERBIE FARNWORTH.
He's played the Warriors six times and scored in all six.
NIC'S TIP: DOLPHINS
SGM: DOLPHINS / FARNWORTH ATS @ $4.30
CRONULLA v NORTH QUEENSLAND
Cronulla have dominated the overall H2H 41-21, but there's plenty of finals history between these clubs.
They've met six times in the finals over the past 13 years and split them 3-3.
NICHO HYNES has also been flawless with the boot in recent finals clashes against North Queensland, kicking 10 from his past 10 attempts.
The Sharks have also found points against the Cowboys, scoring between 31-40 points in their recent meetings.
NIC'S TIP: SHARKS 31+ POINTS
SGM: SHARKS 31+ / OVER 40.5 TOTAL POINTS @ $2.50
PENRITH v ROOSTERS
The Roosters lead the overall H2H 58-46, while it's deadlocked 28-28 in Penrith home games against the Roosters.
Come finals time, however, the Panthers have owned this match-up.
Penrith lead 4-1 in NRL finals, including a commanding 30-10 win in their most recent postseason clash in 2024.
But there's a reason to think the Roosters can make this interesting.
They beat Penrith 12-6 only a few weeks ago. That's significant considering the Panthers had won 12 of the previous 13 H2Hs entering that stoush.
Does that give the Roosters some confidence heading into the rematch?
ROBERT TOIA had a try disallowed that night after scoring in his previous two games against Penrith.
And these clashes rarely turn into shootouts.
Only once since 2020 have these two clubs combined for more than 52 points.
NIC'S TIP: ROOSTERS +9.5
SGM: ROOSTERS +9.5 / TOIA ATS / UNDER 53.5 TOTAL POINTS @ $6
